Careers – Renewals Specialist
Responsibilities
- Increase the software maintenance renewal rate through effective inside sales techniques, primarily through outbound phone interactions
- Drive customers' understanding of Atlassian products and software maintenance to assist cross-sell, up-sell and renew all opportunities
- Track sales activities, customer data and customers' status within internal systems (using SalesForce.com)
- Maintain a detailed understanding of product updates and articulate those improvements that relate to customers typical maintenance renewal drivers
- Improve our understanding of why customers renew or don't renew software maintenance to drive improvements in tactics and strategy
- Communicate product feedback to product management
- Coordinate and assist marketing with demand generation activities
Required skills
- Strong inside sales experience
- Ability to rapidly grasp technical concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication with strong ability to build rapport over the phone
- Strong attention to detail
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Dedication to continuous improvement
- A strong customer service ethic
- Experience with SalesForce.com
Typical experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in inside sales, software renewals or other similar role
- Experience with enterprise software required
- A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
