Atlassian announces a new partnership with Zoom, makers of cloud-based video conferencing tools.
At Atlassian, we’re big believers in open work. We’ve seen how our teams and our customers’ teams achieve more when collaboration and communication are at the foundation of everything they do. We know that having the right set of integrated tools is critical to moving work forward.
Which is why we’re excited to announce a new partnership and strategic investment with Zoom, the global leader in cloud-based video communications, whose tools have become an essential part of teamwork. Today’s teams are distributed across floors, offices, cities, and countries, making true face-to-face communication increasingly less frequent. Video plays a critical role in bridging the gap and enabling better, more open work. By integrating Zoom with Atlassian products, we have an opportunity to elevate the meeting experience.
We will start by serving the needs of modern, global IT teams, and build integrations with Jira Ops, our newest product, as well as Jira Service Desk, the fastest-growing product in Atlassian’s history.
By integrating Zoom into Jira Ops, teams will be able to respond quickly when an incident occurs and collaborate in real time with full transparency.
When support teams need to be more hands on, the Jira Service Desk integration will let teams connect with customers quickly to get a clearer understanding of the situation.
Zoom plans to launch these integrations by the end of 2018, and together we’ll work hard to bring a new communication experience to the broader Atlassian suite, and teams everywhere.
