Generative AI in Editor

In a world where individuals are expected to achieve more with less, Atlassian’s generative AI editor helps improve users’ writing with helpful suggestions. In the writing prompt, users will soon be able to reference content from other Confluence pages or tickets, allowing the AI to pull context for an accurate suggestion. 

Available in Jira, Jira Service Management, Bitbucket, and Trello, and coming soon to Jira Product Discovery, this feature allows teams to quickly write poll requests, summaries, release notes, and other documentation directly from the apps.

AI Summaries and Page Catch-Up

Get the latest context of work in-flight on any Confluence page. Understand the latest changes, action items, and relevant comments. No one gets excited about a Conference page that has a read time of 20 minutes, but with an AI-generated summary, it’s no longer so daunting. AI summaries are also available in Jira and Jira Service Management to summarize comment history and descriptions on issues to bring stakeholders up to speed quickly.

With AI Summaries in Smart Links, users can summarize assets by simply hovering their cursor over the link. Even links to Google Docs can be summarized in a small hoverable window. This helps setup projects faster from project managers to marketing managers, content leads, and more.

AI work breakdown (Beta)

One of the biggest time sinks in planning is breaking down an epic or project into multiple work items. With AI Work Breakdown, users can do this at the press of a button. It will review the description along with linked Confluence pages for context and then suggest relevant child issues. You can refine these suggestions as needed and then create them with a click.

What if there was an automatic way to optimize real-time interaction and facilitate asynchronous communication and collaboration? Users don’t have to be a video editing wiz either. Users can record themselves verbalizing guides, bug reports, and other topics, and the AI will transcribe the video and break it down into actionable steps on a Confluence page. This means less time reporting bugs and more time squashing bugs.

Instead of having to be the note-taker in a brainstorm or workshop, teams can leverage an AI prompt to generate stickies on their whiteboard with data pulled from Jira Product Discovery ideas, Confluence pages, Jira tickets, and more.

After brainstorming, teams can convert their whiteboard into a Confluence page without having to do a lengthy manual write-up. At a click of a button, teams can take that complicated board of stickies and have them organized into a clear actionable Confluence page.

How do you ensure requirements are represented correctly after brainstorming? Once your plans are laid out into a Jira issue it’s easy to lose time in the back-and-forth between teams and functions. This generative AI in the editor prompts reviews and streamlines your issues by restructuring, rewriting content, or prompting you with extra questions to clarify your content.

With the AI-related resources feature, your teams can spend less time hunting for relevant information. Teams have to work across tool sprawl, from designs to documentation and spreadsheets, making information spread across resources. By offering key information relative to the issue, teams can save time getting up to speed.

Virtual Agent

Today’s service teams often find themselves bogged down with backlogs of repetitive tickets, many of which could be solved with existing documentation. Drowning in tickets means teams have less time dedicated to critical tickets that require a personal touch.
