There are a lot of emotions that come with learning something new. Excitement, maybe a little uncertainty, but most of all, there’s a little unfamiliarity. If you need help or get stuck, is there a place you can go to find resources that explain things in a way you can understand?
If you’re new to Forge, you’ve probably already checked out the tutorials or example apps. But sometimes, it’s helpful to take a step back and start your journey with a broader conceptual overview before diving in.
That’s why we created the Forge in 5 video series. These videos are designed to help new Forge developers quickly orient themselves and learn the basics of the platform in a fun, easy to understand format.
What you’ll learn
In our first video, we discuss how Atlassian apps empower you to customize the platform to meet unique needs. Some developer platforms require that you host your own apps, but Forge is hosted by Atlassian – meaning we handle some of the trickier storage, hosting, and data security aspects. This enables developers to focus on what you’re best at: building amazing apps that solve real needs for customers.
