- Simplifying rule configuration with AI to create automation rules from natural language in the Atlassian Automation rule builder
- Empowering Confluence end users to build rules easily and automate manual tasks with Smart Buttons
As we enter 2025, we’re thrilled to cover some recent releases that will further elevate your experience with Atlassian Automation by eliminating more manual tasks- freeing up your team’s capacity to accomplish more meaningful work. Here are some of the exciting features to start using now.
Use Rovo Agents in your automation rules
Since its launch at Team ’24 Europe, Atlassian’s Rovo has enabled organizations to enhance efficiency and compliance through agentic workflows without expanding their workforce. By integrating AI capabilities such as content analysis and editing into Atlassian Automation, Rovo Agents in automation helps customers streamline manual tasks. This integration allows users to control when and how agents are utilized across all Atlassian products, unlocking new automation use cases. Confluence and Jira users can now use capabilities such as:
- Product Requirements Document (PRD) Agent: Seamlessly publishing feedback directly on PRDs, enabling PMs to take the next action to deliver value to their customers faster.
- Customer Feedback Agent: Analyze feedback and share insights via Slack to help teams take faster action to improve products or services.
- Translation Agent: Translate and publish pages in multiple languages, fostering global collaboration.

Scaling automation to all Confluence customers
Automation is now available for all Confluence users, allowing Confluence Automation to grow with your organization’s needs. Whether you’re just getting started or handling complex enterprise-level processes, automation rules can be expanded and refined without worrying about execution limits.
- Free Plan: Up to 10 rule executions per instance per month (NEW)
- Standard Plan: Up to 100 rule executions per instance per month (NEW)
- Premium Plan: Up to 1,000 rule executions per user per month (NO CHANGE)

Introducing the new Guard Premium action
Managing sensitive data has become even more crucial as the daily volume of data generated and processed continues to grow. Embracing automation helps users minimize the risk of human error by eliminating many manual tasks. This not only saves time but also helps protect your data and maintain your users’ trust.
Guard Detect generates an alert whenever a Confluence page is created or modified and contains specific types of sensitive data, such as credentials, financial information, or identity details.
Guard Premium helps users rapidly respond when sensitive data is discovered in an unprotected state. You have the option to create your own rule using the new content scanning alert trigger or explore pre-existing templates to kickstart your process. Continue to follow Atlassian Automation blogs and Community posts for more Guard Premium Automation use cases coming soon.
