As we get into the flow of a New Year, many of us have set resolutions to stay more organized, boost our productivity, and tackle our to-dos with more efficiency. But it’s easy to get overwhelmed when you’re constantly switching between so many windows, tabs, and apps.
To help you stay on track with your New Year goals and manage the overwhelm, we’ve launched new features in Trello to make 2025 your most productive year yet: introducing Mirror cards and Jira lists! These game-changing features are here to streamline your workflows, keep you connected, and help you stay on top of everything that matters. With both Mirror cards and Jira lists, you can transform your Trello boards into a powerhouse for personal and professional success.
Card mirroring keeps you connected across Trello boards
Want a better way to keep track of your to-dos dispersed across various Trello boards? First, consider setting up a Trello board as your personal planner or “mission control” center. Next, manage your assigned work across multiple boards by mirroring Trello cards in one place. Say goodbye to the endless manual updates and double entries—this new feature keeps your information in sync and always up-to-date. Mirroring your Trello cards allows you to easily:
- View and edit in real time: Open the original card and make edits without leaving your current board.
- Choose your view type: Toggle between a compact view (card title and source board name) and an expanded view.
- Boost collaboration: Share Mirror cards across teams, keeping everyone informed and in sync.

Why you’ll love it:
- All-in-one organization: Stop hopping between Trello boards searching for and updating the right card—save time by mirroring your Trello card from one board into another board. Rest assured, that information will up-to-date across all boards as you make changes to that mirrored card.
- Quick access to follow-ups: Need to remember those action items from your team’s meeting? Just mirror those cards onto your own personal Trello board for quick reference as you go through your daily or weekly to-do lists—it’s like having a digital sticky note at your fingertips!
- Productivity made simple: Manage your to-dos from one hub, eliminating the hassle of duplicate entries. When mirroring cards, you can easily work on cards from multiple Trello boards.

Use card mirroring to work together more effectively
When you begin to mirror cards in Trello, the possibilities are endless to help you (and your teams) to stay on top of seemingly endless list of to-dos.
- Managing a large team of individual contributors? Use Mirror cards in your personal Trello board by mirroring the cards that you need to follow up on from your one-on-one boards with direct reports.
- Are your Marketing and Design teams collaborating on an upcoming campaign? Mirror cards between the two teams’ Trello boards. This way, everyone stays on the same page with the latest message copy, draft, or visual asset updates without losing track of the original card or its owner.
- Want to keep external clients in the loop while maintaining your privacy? Share a board with clients that features only the essentials, while you work on a separate board with the cards that have been mirrored of essential action items to see the complete picture. Clients see what they need, and you and your team can stay organized and informed.
This powerful feature allows you to not only manage your individual action items, but to also streamline collaboration in ways that fit you and your team’s unique workflow needs.

Jira lists: the best of Jira, now in Trello
For fans of both tools, Jira Lists bring the power of Jira into the intuitive interface of Trello. Now you can manage your Jira tasks directly in Trello, organizing everything in one place.

Key benefits:
- Simplify manual to-do lists: Add Jira work items to your Trello board without copying and pasting.
- Seamlessly sync between systems: Any changes made in Jira will also be reflected on your Trello board.
- Customizable workflows: Organize tasks your way, with filters like project, type, status, or assignee.

Jira + Trello = better together
When you integrate Jira lists within Trello, the potential to enhance organization and showcase your accomplishments is limitless. This new feature not only helps you manage your daily and weekly tasks but also ensures you have everything you need to monitor progress, share updates, change statuses, and prepare for important conversations.
- Need to stay on top of what’s on your plate each day or week? Create a Jira list with open tasks assigned to you. This way, you can easily see what needs attention and prioritize your workload.
- Looking to reference the progress your team made over the past week? Build a Jira list with tasks from your project’s epic that were completed during that time. It’s a simple way to make writing status updates or team summaries a breeze.
- Preparing for quarterly check-ins or performance reviews? Create a list of tasks assigned to you that were resolved in the past 3 or 6 months. You’ll have a ready-made record of your accomplishments to share and celebrate.
With Jira lists, you can adapt your workflow to meet your goals and stay on top of everything—whether it’s managing the day-to-day or reflecting on the bigger picture.
