That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

At Atlassian, we're on a mission to unleash the potential in every team, and that includes our own. That's where you come in. As a Senior Program Manager in Marketing, you'll work to boost the cohesion, focus, speed, and general effectiveness of the marketing team. You will play an integral part in how we bring our products and campaigns to market, engage our customers, and build our brand. You will sit at the intersection of planning, strategy, and execution. You'll be a leader in aligning the efforts of a diverse cast, connecting the dots across teams and adapting to changing circumstances as you anticipate what's next. You will be an excellent partner in understanding your stakeholders’ challenges, strengths, and motivations, and you'll help channel that at both the strategic and tactical level.

In this role, you’ll get to

  • Lead marketing portfolio teams through planning and prioritization.

  • Assemble teams, define scope, kick-off and smoothly run successful marketing-driven programs.

  • Define portfolio rituals, such as planning sessions, business reviews, retros, roles and responsibilities play, and more.

  • Collaborate with other program managers to implement new or refine existing processes and framework, as the marketing organization continues to evolve and scale.

  • Be well informed on company and marketing goals and priorities to enable your teams to be set up for success.

  • Partner and build excellent relationships with cross-functional teams to align and strive for well thought-out and strategic plans ahead of execution.

  • Optimize your teams operationally to ensure the right amount of process and plays are in motion.

On the first day, we’ll expect you to have

  • At least 6 years in program management, strategic planning or similar role.

  • Enthusiasm and experience working alongside stakeholders across multiple teams, such as marketers, product, sales, design, content, and communications.

  • Experience running complex, cross-functional programs and projects.

  • Core strengths around written and verbal communication, infectious positive energy, resilience and high adaptability, and a sense of urgency with strategy and a clear vision.

  • Experience leading without authority - know when to actively lead, when to create space for others to step up, and when to draw out energy and insight from the teams.

  • Comfortable in dynamic, constantly evolving environments, and the ability to both respond to as well as motivate change.

  • Ability to work independently to manage workload, make decisions, and confidently share ideas and solutions.

  • Ability to maintain calm under pressure.

It’s awesome, but not required, if you have

  • Led agile teams or know agile methodologies

  • Experience working as a member of distributed teams, product and engineering teams, creative teams, or marketing teams.

  • Experience running organization change and/or strategic planning.

  • Experience working with or administering project management, workflow, and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, Slack etc.
