Senior Principal Program Manager, Engineering Talent Enablement

Apply for this job

Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

This is a remote position. To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in the Pacific Standard Timezone.

We are looking for a Principle Program Manager to join the CTO Strategic Initiatives team. You will lead high impact Engineering Recruiting efforts, using your data-driven approach to evolve our recruiting workflows and tooling, optimize our recruiting funnel, and increase quality of hires. We need your expertise to help manage complex, end-to-end strategic programs, get deep to understand the engineering landscape, and build strong relationships with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

  • Own the execution of strategic programs with a focus on ensuring that the team is driving towards the best outcomes for our customers (Atlassians).

  • With the Recruiting program being a current area of focus, you will represent Engineering and partner closely with the recruiting team to align and implement strategic hiring initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain program plans, identify resource needs, and balance project schedules; lead communication with program team members and partners on progress, dependencies and risks.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruiting initiatives.

  • Provide regular updates and reports on recruiting activities, including progress against goals, candidate status and market insights to stakeholders and executive audience.

  • Implement initiatives to enhance Atlassian Engineering brand to attract top talent.

  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience in program management and talent acquisition.

  • Background in data analytics and insights, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends to make data-driven decisions.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and facilitation skills (including experience with facilitating meetings and engaging with an executive audience).

  • Demonstrated experience and success leading high-impact, cross-functional programs or projects.

  • Possesses flexibility and has a history of delivering impactful, scalable programs.

  • Ability to accelerate deliverables through taking calculated risks and experimenting with new solutions.

  • Familiarity with application tracking system (ATS) and other recruitment technologies.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $221,500 - $295,300

Zone B: $199,300 - $265,800

Zone C: $183,800 - $245,100

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
