In a concise way, share any blockers that you need help with. Describe the issue and outline what you’d like support on to resolve the issue.
Next, list out your current priorities. Add in a short description of your active projects, add in relevant links, share progress updates, and note any action items your manager should be aware of.
Take the final section to list out anything that is top of mind that you’d like to share with your managers. This can be anything important, but not urgent, such as flagging early issues, future projects, upcoming PTO or team changes, etc.
Either in an email or on a Confluence page, share this information with your manager on a regular basis.
