Create an agreement that details the important aspects of the partnership or relationship
It is important for all businesses to have legal agreements with their vendors. Through this document, the parties are forming a relationship so that the vendor can provide the organizer with goods or services. The agreement is not slanted towards either party — it is a fair and equitable agreement for both.
The scope of engagement portion of this vendor agreement template provides both parties an area to acknowledge any and all terms in regard to the services the vendor will provide. It’s important to have this specified up front so both parties are on the same page.
One of the main purposes of this agreement is to lay out payment terms. Decide whether payment should be made on a monthly or quarterly basis (or other specific timing) and how long the cline that to pay the vendor, whether over 15, 30, or 60 days.
This legal contract means nothing if it does not get signed by both parties. To ensure viability of the vendor agreement, ask the key representatives to sign it and keep copies for themselves.
