Having all of your trip plans on one page helps streamline the planning process
Planning a business trip is not for the faint of heart. Make it easy by using a template that keeps track of all of the important details in one place. It’ll keep you organized and extra prepared.
Start by adding the name of the work trip with specific dates and locations at the top so you can quickly find the itinerary. It also helps to add a business reason as the the purpose of the trip so management and team members know why you are traveling.
Fill out the flight departure and key information for both your departing and return flights. Be sure to add the confirmation code so it’s at your fingertips when checking in. If you are renting a car, add that information, including the car pickup and drop off locations. If you are taking public transportation, provide the station, time of departure, and end point location.
Be sure to add the name and location of the hotels and restaurants you will be visiting. You can add names of clients or customers you may be taking out while on the work trip in the comments section. This will be helpful later as you gather business expenses. And of course, add details about what you plan to do while on the work trip, including any customer appointments.
