Achieve cross-team collaboration and identify key stakeholders.
Cross-team collaboration isn’t always easy, so use this template to run the Network of Teams Play to map out your stakeholders and adjacent teams. This helps to identify the people involved in the success of a project and where you might need to invest in keeping relationships healthy.
This is a safe space for openly sharing:
Disconnect and stay present
Listen with an open mind
Always assume positive intent
Remember that everyone’s experience is valid

Identify your core team and your team’s goal.
Set a meeting time for the team and head to the Network of Teams Play on the Atlassian Team Playbook for step by step facilitation guidance.
Review the business outcomes and target deadlines that you are expected to achieve and write it down on a sticky.
On sticky notes write the names of each team contributing to the goal. We’ll be defining the network of teams that are collectively pursuing this common goal so that you can keep these relationships healthy and achieve success.
Place the teams on the circles of influence. Remove duplicates and discuss which ring of influence the team should sit in. Try to have no more than 5 teams as Critical to Success.
Assign a relationship owner to each of the ‘Critical to success’ teams.
Then, draw a line from your ‘Core team’ to each of the teams that are ‘Critical to success’ to indicate your interaction strength.
Get your team on the same page about what they should be working by creating a team poster.
