Section 889
Section 889 (a)(1)(A)
Section 889 (a)(1)(A) of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) prohibits US Government agencies from procuring or obtaining equipment or services that use covered telecommunications equipment or services as a substantial or essential component or critical technology. (FAR 52.204-25)
The following list are the covered entities and their subsidiaries and affiliates:
- Huawei Technologies Company
- ZTE Corporation
- Hytera Communications Corporation
- Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company
- Dahua Technology Company
Section 889 (a)(1)(B)
Section 889 (a)(1)(B) prohibits US government agencies from contracting with any entity that uses certain telecommunications equipment or services produced by the entities listed above.
After conducting a reasonable inquiry for purposes of this representation, the offeror (Atlassian) represents that it does not use covered telecommunications equipment or services, or any equipment, system, or service that uses covered telecommunications equipment or services.
