Reseller FAQs
Ordering
Atlassian allows anyone to purchase on behalf of another party and serve as an unaffiliated reseller. Resellers can purchase our products for their customers directly via our Quote & Order Form. For those who wish to work more closely with Atlassian, we offer Corporate Reseller and official Atlassian Partner programs. Contact us for more information. |
To create an annual cloud quote for your customer's existing cloud site, please contact us with the following information:
|
Resellers can upgrade or renew Data Center licenses through our Quote & Order Form. If you are renewing, click the Renew tab. If you are upgrading, click the Upgrade tab. Enter the SEN number and email address of the technical contact. Select the license and the edition of the license you'd like to renew or upgrade. |
When acting as a Reseller purchasing on behalf of an end-user, the Reseller must purchase directly from Atlassian. Atlassian does not allow Resellers to purchase through distributors, as this is considered two-tier reselling and violates our Reseller Agreement. |
If you're creating a quote from our Quote & Order Form, add a note in the Additional Notes section with details on which licenses should be co-termed to which date. Please note that this will result in a slight delay as co-terms require manual review. |
While resellers cannot purchase monthly cloud subscriptions for their end-user, resellers can purchase annual cloud subscriptions on behalf of their customer. If your customer has not yet started a cloud trial, please encourage them to do so via our Try Cloud page. Once created, contact us with their site URL and desired user tiers.

To have access to your customer's license key, you must be the original purchaser of the license.

Atlassian offers a variety of discounts for registered non-profits, academic institutions, governmental agencies, and for those migrating from a self-managed Atlassian environment to cloud. |

Licensing
Server licenses are perpetual licenses that are retrieved from my.atlassian.com and installed on the customer's server directly. With the purchase of a new server license customers receive 12 months of software maintenance. After the initial 12 months, customers have the option to renew their licenses for another 12 months. |
For self-managed products, software maintenance refers to software version upgrades and technical support. For cloud, software maintenance refers to hosting in our cloud infrastructure, as well as your continued access to technical support. |
Customers can receive support via our Support System. They will need to have handy their SEN (Support Entitlement Number). You can view Atlassian's Support Offering for more details. |
