How does Data Manager work with Assets in Jira Service Management?

With Data Manager, you can go beyond managing assets for Service Management. Its powerful filtering and reporting capabilities empower your teams to have broader visibility into asset and configuration data, so you can make data-driven operational and strategic decisions.

Data from Data Manager can be imported into a schema - either via CSV or via a new import adapter that creates a recommended structure for the data.

Data from the Assets schema can be imported into Data Manager to be cleaned, normalized, and reconciled so that you have complete, current, and correct data.

Is Data Manager an asset discovery tool?

While Data Manager is not a discovery tool, it does integrate with discovery tools. Remember that Assets in Jira Service Management includes a discovery feature.

Is Data Manager licensed separately?

No, Data Manager is included in Assets as part of Jira Service Management Cloud Premium and Enterprise plans*.

*Not available for Data Center plans.

How was Data Manager formerly known?

Atlassian acquired AirTrack company in 2023 and renamed its product AirTrack to Assets Data Manager.

AirTrack functionality has been rebranded and fully integrated into Jira Service Management.

Does Data Manager impact my compliance with GDPR?

We are committed to helping our customers stay compliant with GDPR and their local requirements. As we do today for all of our products, we will process and transmit data for Data Manager in accordance with our Privacy Policy, Data Processing Addendum, and GDPR commitment.

Is Data Manager SOC 2 and ISO compliant?

Although many of the systems and services used by Data Manager hold these certifications and adhere to the same internal policies and standards, Data Manager has not undergone external assessment for SOC 2 or ISO certification yet.

As we further develop our Data Manager services and tools, we will aim to include them in our standard audit certification reporting cycle.

Is Data Manager HIPAA compliant?

No, at this time, Data Manager is not HIPAA compliant and our Business Associate Agreement (BAA) does not cover this feature. If you are required to comply with HIPAA, we recommend that you do not use this feature until we have expanded our coverage to include it.

What happens with my data once you go from Open Beta to GA

You will be able to continue using Data Manager, with all data in place.
